“Starting to navigate”; a one day course starting in the Vale of Llangollen and heading into the hills. You will start by orientating the map and learn to use scales, symbols and features. The use of compass bearings will also be an important feature. £70 for one + £10 for each additional person.
“A walk in the mist” ... A one day course. Drive to Snowdonia, and walk into the Moelwyns from Tanygrisau. A day navigating in conditions of limited visibility. Among other things, you will learn to walk on a bearing, measuring distances by pacing and timing. Of course we can’t guarantee the mist ..... £90 for one + £12 for each additional person. Travel not included.


Half day taster session;
“Moving on Rock”. Meet in Llangollen and drive to Worlds End, where we will set up a rope system for a single pitch climb. You will learn to use safety equipment such as helmet and harness. You will develop your movement skills while attempting climbs of progressive difficulty. During the session we can discuss topics such as the mountain environment and access issues. An abseil can be arranged as well if you want to test your nerve!
£40 for one + £15 for each additional person.


From OSWESTRY; a guided walk from the castle to the surrounding hills taking in a variety of historical sites. This can be tailored to suit the time available but could easily be a full day excursion (5 hours plus).
Places can include, Old Oswestry Hill fort, Brogyntyn Hall, Offa’s Dyke and the Old Racecource.
£40 for 2 persons, and + £10 for each additional party member. Rucksacks are available for no additional cost. Packed lunches can be arranged..... Or a short detour to a Public House can be built into the itinerary!
